I am a licensed social worker who works with children, adolescents, young adults, and parents. I earned my undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia and my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree at the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. I am passionate about helping people break free from unhelpful patterns that have them feeling stuck, such as the patterns that are brought about by and contribute to anxiety, depression, emotional regulation challenges, and behavioral problems. My approach is grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), two well-established modalities that are shown to help people navigate life’s challenges. As a dedicated practitioner of mindfulness meditation, I incorporate mindfulness techniques that can help clients respond effectively to events from a regulated place rather than reacting to them from a dysregulated place. I have experience working with children (both neurotypical and neurodivergent), teenagers, young adults, and college students. Good therapy can only happen when there is a good relationship, so my practice emphasizes warmth, close listening, open-mindedness, and collaboration.
