As a licensed social worker, I am passionate about supporting children, adolescents, young adults, and families as they navigate life’s challenges. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is an essential part of therapy and strive to create a collaborative space that is safe, warm, and client centered. Through my prior experience working in hospital, outpatient clinic and school-based settings, I am well versed with ADHD, anxiety, trauma, depression, low self-esteem, social challenges, and major life transitions. I provide a strengths-based approach and combine aspects of psychodynamic psychotherapy, somatic work, play-based therapy, and evidence-based interventions. I have extensive training in EMDR for both children and adults and am particularly passionate about using play-based EMDR in the therapy space.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Cornell University and my master’s degree from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, where I graduated with honors from the child and family trauma program.
I am a born and raised New Yorker who has also lived in San Francisco and London.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked for over twenty years in the arts and media space. This background allows me to bring a creative, thoughtful, and flexible lens to therapy to help each individual feel seen and heard in their own unique way. With curiosity, empathy, and respect, together we will facilitate emotional growth and meaningful connections that translate beyond the therapy space.
