Kate Zayko

As a licensed clinical social worker and co-founder of Empire Minds, I specialize in working with teens and adults, providing compassionate, thoughtful, and evidence-based therapies. I have over two decades of experience as a private practitioner, as a supervisor and clinical director of Bellevue Hospital Child and Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program, and as a school social worker and therapist in a New York City public high school.
Born in New Jersey, raised partly in Rhode Island, I received my undergraduate degrees at Northeastern University in Boston and my Masters in Social Work from Columbia University.
I work with people with an appreciation for their world, where they are, and where they want to be. I want to help them grow in their families and their relationships, protecting the confidentiality that is essential to therapy, but also knowing that my job is to help build a greater sense of self and awareness for change and insight.
